Library Director Jackie Prime said he had no idea his buddy Jim Mackie would be fired for it. Mackie called a Phillipston highway worker who showed up with a town owned bucket truck. Mackie was able to rescue the cat, but the highway employee filed an ethics complaint against Mackie. He was fired last week by the Phillipston Board of Selectmen. more
